iOS Multitasking in Detail
Hopefully the behaviour of iOS multitasking isn't news but I thought this video from Fraser Speirs was worth linking to as he uses Instruments to great effect to demonstrate what is going on.
Codea and Code Sharing
I linked Codea a few issues back but this week the developer Simeon Nasilowski was asked by Apple to remove the code sharing feature as it was in violation of the developer agreement. His very calm description of what happened is worth a read.
App Annie's Intelligence
I am really happy to see App Annie announce a business model as I use, and love their free analytics service.
Tools
SnapRuler
I don't know how I would survive without xScope but hadn't come across SnapRuler before I saw Lukas Mathis talk about it this week. The snapping looks super useful.
Dependency Graph Tool for iOS Projects
Jouni Miettunen has been playing with (and fixing) with a visualisation tool for Objective-C project dependencies. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet but it looks like fun.
New iOS Developers Shouldn’t Use Interface Builder
A conversation on Twitter this week led me to this article by Shaun Ervine and as with many people on Twitter I was expecting to disagree with it from the title. My take on it is that I think people would get it much quicker if Interface Builder was renamed to (the admittedly less catchy) "Tool to quickly and easily create and configure objects for deserialisation at runtime". Who's with me? :)
Use Xcode+git to automatically version your apps
Following on from last week's post on git build numbers, Peter Steinberger takes the idea a little further.

Handling Incoming JSON Redux
I really like this idea by Tom Harrington for populating plain old objects from JSON.
Business and Marketing
I keep forgetting to use your app
I always thought we were fighting for the attention of our users but Gabriel Weinberg is right, on a phone full of apps we are fighting for their memory.
Cherry Pop: Development Diary
An interesting and comprehensive look by Andrew Armstrong at all aspects of developing an iOS app (and Android version) and back end right through from concept to marketing and everything in between.
And finally...
NSBrief
I hadn't come across this podcast by Saul Mora before but it looks like there have been some interesting people interviewed over the last year. I am going to work my way back through some of the episodes.
